I didn't think that Lily Kate could melt ice but she can folks. She has special "author super" powers. When I read the description for this book I really had to question the choice for our gal. Our guy was a "no-brainer" for me as I thought he would be a real gem. But Holy Cow folks...what was this author thinking? What Ms. Kate did made me a believer in all things "Lily Kate". Ms. Kate has serious writing chops. The story was phenomenal. I also loved that Ms. Kate concentrated primarily on this couple. Time to rehabilitate our gal and turn this into an amazing love story really needed time. I loved the small cast of secondary characters. Although fewer I would love to see a story with our lovely personal assistant. Having the daughter also really worked well as she added a depth and dimension to Jocelyn. I also loved that although this series is centered around the world of hockey Ms. Kate took us off the ice for the majority of this story. I also want to make note of the way in which Ms. Kate wrote the bedroom scenes. These were a choreographed dance with an emotional ebb and flow throughout. They were perfectly balanced with care and concern paid to each word. Sheer perfection. I can't wait for the next book in the series.I would love to have a little window into this couple and the couple from the first book at some point so please do not forget them Ms. Kate. You have given these folks to us so they are fictional family to us now. We are invested enough to want to know how things turn out for them in the future.Thank you for this wonderful read!
