Was easy to find the correct ice maker to fit our refrigerator. Easy to install and works great so far.It is not necessarily easy for anyone to install but that is the nature of where an icemaker does its work. After installation you will have to wait a while for it to start working and this can be disconcerting, but there is a sensor in it that must get cold enough before it starts the icemaker filling with water. It is best to use an original equipment replacement unit because it will probably last longer.Had to buy this after our Frigidaire stock unit gave out after three years. Just so you're aware, icemakers in general do not have long lifespans. There are a number of moving parts and they operate in an extremely cold environment. Practically every home warranty excludes them for those reasons. They are extremely easy to replace however which is some consolation. (Two screws loosened, not even removed and one connection to unplug/plug) One complication though is that you may find several part numbers for similar replacements for your OEM unit. The main difference will be in the amount of ice they can produce. It will take a little bit of time to fill back up the bin but once you've caught back up this unit should be able to produce a similar amount of ice as the original part #241642511 though it will work in place of others as well. I just googled my fridge number, figured out how to troubleshoot the old one (determined it was kaput) then removed it and found the original part number. I then googled that part number and found the best selection and lowest prices on Amazon. This unit was a different number but works great.UPDATE:Well, not several years. Six months and it broke down. Everything else about this fridge is really good, but the ice maker is completely unreliable and good luck communicating with Frigidaire over it.ORIGINAL:I wasn’t happy that I needed to replace a not old ice maker. But this was a pretty easy fix. Loosen the two screws, unplug the dead maker. Put on the new one. Instructions would have been nice, such as letting you know to give it a 12 to 24 hours to start up.In and out in less than ten minutes. Usable ice in a day. Hopefully for several years.Very skeptical, as is was not the exact part number... Amazon said it would fit... I have a Frididaire Gallery (FGH2334KW1). It stopped making ice. Two screws and a power connector and the new one is in and I have a full load of ice!!! The other thingy I want to mention is the estimated delivery time for this part was two weeks or more and it arrived in 4 days... Very surprised to find a package at my door so soon. Packaging sucks, as the small box it came in had no padding, but no damage I found yet... I've watched lots of YouTube videos about Ice maker failures before I tried this and have heard several say these fail in about 5 years. For $50 I figured 'lets try'... Paid off! This item is a direct OEM replacement. The only difference between the old one and this new one, is that the power cord is about 3-4 inches longer than the origional. It still plugs in fine but there is excess cord now. As for the functionality of the item, it works fine, no issues yet. Time to replace is about 15-30 min based on your skill set. The seller was quick and the piece was in hand shortly after placing the order, which was nice. It came in OEM packaging, not repack, so you can tell it was a new item. No issues with it or the seller, so I would purchase from them again if need to.My Frigidaire HS2622 26 inch refrigerator stopped making any ice after a year. Watched a You Tube Video on possible culprits for no ice making. Pulled the ice maker assembly via the You Tube instructional video. The front small motor and gear assembly was frozen and not turning. Ordered the 241642501 part from Amazon, replaced the old one. Works like new.Very easy job, just have a 1/4 inch nut screw driver. Took 10 minutes. Watch the You Tube videos first, there are several indexing ice maker not making ice for Frigidaire/Electrolux/Kenmore which all reference this part number. As an Amazon Prime member it came in 2 days as advertised. The ice maker in my Frigidaire freezer recently broke and I was able to replace and install it myself with this one. I was not able to find my exact model number on Amazon but purchased this one anyway because it was close. The holes for the screws lined up exactly where I needed them to be, the only spec that was not completely compatible was the length of the cord. This cord was a little long and it is not very flexible, but I was able to make it fit with my current freezer. Overall it is working great!
