We have used this cooler all summer. we freeze and foodsaver our meals for vacations. Then pack into the cooler and travel. That way I'm not spending my vacation cooking. Since its our first time using this brand of cooler, I took my temperature gun with me. Even after overnight travel, the food was always colder coming out of the cooler than going into it. We even put some chicken soup in that wasn't prefrozen, with a partially loaded cooler, and the chicken froze on a 7 hour trip. Also, it holds a ton! We are so happy with the purchase. The only down side is the cooler is the weight, its heavy, and does not slide. This is the best cooler. It kept our food and drinks cool for 8 days... Yes the ice melted but the water/drinks were still very cold. I can't believe it stayed so cold. And it was sitting outside most of the time.I was somewhat skeptical of this cooler... Man was I wrong! We bought 2 of them, 1 for our Motor Coach and one for our kids Travel Trailer. They cool as good or I believe better than the YETI! The construction is amazing and the bonus elevated rack and divider are great. I HIGHLY recommend this cooler!!!A good cooler, keeps my waters cold in Florida summers. We love the ability to separate things with the cutting board. It's genius. We bought ours after seeing a friend with the smaller version. We plan on taking groceries for the week to the mountains. This will allow us to keep the frozen stuff(with dry ice) away from the fresh foods.2 bottle openers and the valve to break the seal for ease of opening are wonderful. Will update on durability/coolability after our first outting with it.Sat it beside an older (think bigfoot) and everyone kept commenting on mine, including the owner of the bigfoot. The ice lasted all day with very little melting even though it was probably opened every 10 minutes by several family members at our reunion. Several kept taking out and putting in drinks and food. Was probably opened 70 or 80 times or more in an 8 hour period in 90°Texas heat (in the shade). Of course some ice did melt but only because it was opened so much and everytime I went by it was unlatched. Amazed how well it did. To me this was a good test for it and didn't disappoint. I have the 60qt which I'm glad we got but it is heavy so that might be a dealbreaker for you but no big deal for 2 to carry. We prechilled it the night before and even then barely had any ice melt if at all. The handles are awesome and the latches are little easier to use than the famous brand but still most of the kids could open it. Cutting board divider is cool as well as the basket. Drain unscrews which I prefer but there is no lanyard so dont lose it..the way it's designed you only have to unscrew it halfway so that helps. Very little to drain when we got home that day. All totaled we had put 1 bag of ice at 9pm then loaded it with food and drinks and another bag next morning at 7:50 am and got home about 6pm until unloaded. Never had an ice chest this good. If you want to get all scientific and measure it compared to other major brands, more power to you. While you're doing that I'll be enjoying another cold one from my new chest. CheersAfter 5 days, there was still some ice cubes remaining, kept everything cool. The optional divider/cutting board was terrific at separating different items and preventing the classic mess of having a single space for beverages, food, and ice. The basket was also great for keeping things like butter from getting soggy. It could really use a set of wheels, as it's heavy & cumbersome to carry/drag. The latches I doubt would keep raccoons or other critters out.So I was in my prechill period when I relized the quality of this cooler. I had done a month of research with cooler. I did a longer pre chill then most as i was making a 27 hour drive across the country. So I prechilled for everyday before I left I put 40 pounds of ice to ensure that this cooler would be goo to go two days into this pre chill I still had 36 lbs of ice with minimal drainage. Its nice that I have not had to deal with a lot of stuff friends dealt with for their yeti such as the suction problem. This decompression button is amazing. I have had none of the problems with any deformities in the cooler. Plus added bonus is the cooler is much cheaper. This cooler came in an almost od green cooler and the latches are nice. It came with attachments. This cooler went through over 100 degree heat in the hot desert air with 30 ilbs of ice left over my 27 hour drive. Other people might have had some factory defects without some problems companies might not know what to fix. But they have over came that by a mile. Plus if you dont purchase a warranty your already in the wrong. Be smart people if your dumping 200 dollars on something be smart a little defect can easily be overcame. I am not an sponsor nor was paid for this review I sure wish I was though military members dont get paid hardly enough.
